The Qualifiers

All 40 players from the last Amateurs are in, seeded 1 v 2 down to 39 v 40 from the 2026 points table. Nine holes of handicap matchplay, any course you like.

Fjordungar Hleinn

Win your qualifier and you head right. Winners go through. The top twelve in Round 1 get a bye past Round 2. Finals on Day 1 of the Amateurs, the Championship on Day 2.

The Cloak of Shame

Lose your qualifier and you head left, where the losers go through. Win a match and you escape. Lose the Championship on Day 2 and you wear the Cloak.
